Passed 70-647

I passed exam 70-647 today with a score of 940/1000. The testing environment was terrible this time round. Some lady started arguing with a man outside my testing room. It was a little odd and very distracting. After about 15 minutes of solid noise, the man finally asked the lady to step outside.

The exam had some interesting questions and covered some topics I didn't expect. But, overall I felt it was a solid test of my knowledge. I'm assuming I got two questions wrong, one of the questions was in my known weak point and the other was somewhere I thought I knew really well. Oh well, all done with Server 2008 for now, onto to Windows 7 for just one exam - 70-680.

PSLoggedOn Getting Started on Windows Server 2008 R2

PSLoggedOn is a tool I downloaded to allow me to find out which computers a user is currently logged on to. Getting it up and running wasn’t exactly easy. I’m running a Windows Server 2008 R2 test environment. The first error I encountered was: Error browing network: The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available. Note: I kept the spelling mistake from the error message to make it easier to find via search engines. To get past this error, you have to enable and start the “Computer Browser” service. Then I started getting the error telling me that the Administrator is not logged on.
