Wireless Security

I've been studying wireless security a little bit lately. Up until I started researching, I had been using WEP, but now all my networks run on WPA2-AES. Why? It's the most secure. Here is a very brief overview:
  • WEP – Wired Equivalent Privacy provides only basic wireless network security. WEP has been superseded by WPA and then WPA2.
  • WPA-TKIP – Wifi protected access provides stronger security compared to WEP and was deigned to be used in the interim while WPA2 was being developed
  • WPA2-AES – Provides the best security for wireless network connections
