Playing the PS3

I recently picked up a PS3. I never really considered the other consoles. I would never buy a Nintendo console because of the childish games they continue to produce and I would never buy a Microsoft console because they make so much money from my computer systems and PDA.

Anyways, I have been enjoying the PS3. I've transferred some music and movies to it, and I enjoy accessing them from both the PS3 and the PSP (via remote play). I do wish the PS3 allowed more than one PSP to access it remotely, surely the PS3 can handle two PSP's running two separate instances of the XMB at the same time? Another complaint I have is the lack of access to the XMB while in a game. I want to be alerted when I get a message, and I want to be able to read it, reply and then resume my game.
