Citrix XenDesktop 5.6 on Hyper-V 2008 R2 with SCVMM 2012 - Part 2

Deploy Hyper-V (HV1)

  1. Install Windows Server 2008 R2
  2. Install the Hyper-V Windows Server role
  3. Create a virtual network

Deploy Active Directory (DC1)

     
  1. Install the Active Directory Domain Services Server Role
  2. Run DCPROMO to install the Domain Controller and DNS Server
  3. Optionally set the Forest and Domain functional level to Windows Server 2008 R2

Optionally Configure the Server SOE (DC1)

Add all the VMs and Servers to Active Directory. I like consistency in my environments, even in lab environments. You can skip this step. I created an OU for all my member servers. I then created a GPO and configured my server policies, including loopback processing.
