MSCE by the end of June

I'm aiming to get my MCSE exams finished by the end of June this year. It's going to be a mission to get it all done. I'm going to take endless days (weeks even) off work to get all the work completed.

I've already completed the 70-290 exam so there are 6 more exams to take. All the exams are:

70-290 - Done

70-291 – Compulsory - Already attempted this one and got 65%. I should pass it next time. I will give myself 1 week of revision and resit this one.

Sitting the above exam on the 16th May.

70-293 – Compulsory - I will give myself 2 weeks full-time study spread over 3 weeks.

70-294 – Compulsory - I will give myself 2 weeks study time spread over 3 weeks.

70-270 – Windows XP - This should be easy. I will give myself 1 week of full time study spread over 2 weeks.

Sitting the above exam on the 30th May.

70-297 – Chose this one over 70-298. As security has never been a strong point for me! I will give myself 2 weeks of study time spread over 3 weeks for this exam.

70-236 – Exchange 2007 - I just deployed Exchange 2007 across a 70+ user network spanning 8 sites. I think this is a good elective for me. I will give myself 2 weeks over 3 weeks for this one as well.

So that's 10 weeks (50 days) off work spread over 14 weeks. Should be fun!

  1. Wow! That's going to be some serious work to get all that done by June!

I've got 70-293, 70-294 and then the elective left to do.

I'm kinda tempted to do 70-284 first though, just so I can get my MCSA:Messaging.

Good luck with all those exams!

  2. I actually don't think I will meet my target either, but I had to set myself a target so I can work hard at it.
Good luck with your next exam.
