The day we welcomed Vista into our homes

I just purchased a new laptop for my fiance for her 21st birthday. I had a look through the laptops available and had a nearly unlimited budget (to make sure I got the best I could). I have always had no problems with Asus laptops, they are strong, powerful and reliable. This time I decided on the Asus A7C, for a few main reasons:
  • Windows Vista Home Premium
  • Intel Core 2 Duo
  • 2GB RAM
  • 17" Widescreen
  • Built-in High Definition Tuner
Overall, I have to recommend this laptop, but there are a few thing I didn't like about it (note: didn't, that means they aren't a problem now):

  • Wireless didn't work out of the box (was set to a standard not available on my router)
  • Too much preinstalled software (I removed heaps of applications from the laptop straight away)
